For those of us willing to climb to the top on a winding spiral staircase of over 300 steps, we will be rewarded with one of the best views in the city. If the weather is really bad, especially in the winter, they don't let you climb up there, but if the sky is clear, the view is beautiful.
What does it cost to trek your way to the top? Only 3 euro for Adults Kids & Students are 1.50 or you can get a family card for 5 euro.
Hours are 10-18:00 in the summer, 10-17:00 in the winter
P.S.- there are no bathroom facilities at the top!
Here is a great video of the bells ringing in the Kaiserdom, with Gloriosa setting the tone. She is the 2nd largest bell in Germany. You won't be able to see the bells when you climb the steeple, but it is fun to be up there when they ring.
